Overview

Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine and CMU Health, in conjunction with Covenant HealthCare is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the Pediatrics Department.  This position is best suited for candidates who are at the assistant or associate professor level, but all ranks will be considered.  A leadership role will be considered for those with the requisite experience; all faculty are appointed through Central Michigan University College of Medicine.  CMU Health sponsors eight residency programs including pediatrics.  Our academic faculty consists of qualified professionals who are dedicated to undergraduate and graduate medical education and providing excellent care to the communities we serve. 

Responsibilities

Position Description: The Department of Pediatrics at CMU Health is seeking faculty members specializing in Pediatric Gastroenterology. Our rapidly growing pediatric department is seeking candidates who have exemplary clinical skills and a strong interest in teaching. This position comes with a competitive salary, benefits, and work hours. This is a comprehensive department, developing a full complement of subspecialties to support our new pediatric residency program! This position is a full time, employed position that offers a very competitive salary and benefit package.

Qualifications

Candidate must be able to obtain a Michigan license and be interested in scholarly activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ambulatory outpatient service and well as inpatient consults.  There is a favorable call schedule and the opportunity for academic research.  This opportunity provides flexibility to fit candidates into the appropriate setting for the success of the program as well as the development of the candidate.
